Language Skills Key to Future Success

Human teaching still holds value in an era where artificial intelligence can translate texts and hold conversations in foreign languages within seconds. Roman Krachko, a foreign language teacher and polyglot, has been teaching English, Spanish, and Chinese to both children and adults for over seven years. His unique approach and personalized attention to each student have enabled his students to achieve impressive results.

Krachko’s journey as a teacher began unexpectedly during the pandemic, when he started teaching English privately. He realized how much he enjoyed helping others learn a language and gradually turned teaching into a full-fledged profession. Along the way, he continued to learn new languages, improving his own skills and developing more effective teaching methods.

Learning Multiple Languages

Krachko has learned Spanish and Chinese in addition to English. He notes that every new language represents a different way of thinking, making it challenging to compare them directly. Chinese required intensive work on phonetics and understanding spoken language, while Spanish was structurally closer to what he was already familiar with. Krachko believes that having a teacher is essential for language learning, as they can provide accurate pronunciation, natural speech, and continuous feedback.

His teaching system is centered around the idea of teaching students the way he would have wanted to be taught himself. Krachko makes every lesson clear, logical, and engaging, focusing on practice and constant use of the language. He assesses the effectiveness of his teaching method by looking at students’ results and feedback, prioritizing their ability to express themselves confidently and apply what they have learned in real-life situations.

The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Education

Krachko does not believe that artificial intelligence will replace foreign language teachers in the near future.

To remain in demand, Krachko believes that a teacher must compete on the quality of their work, rather than price. A reputation built over years becomes the greatest competitive advantage, with recommendations from students and their achievements serving as the best form of advertising.

Future Plans and Language Demand

Krachko advises those who have long dreamed of learning a foreign language but keep putting it off to start as soon as possible. He believes that there are no people incapable of learning a foreign language, only those who have not yet found the right teacher and method. Learning a language is an opportunity to feel more confident, discover new cultures, and build a career, making every new lesson a step toward new possibilities.

As a member of two professional associations for English language teachers, Krachko values the opportunity to connect with an expert community, discover new approaches, and learn about current research. This enables him to provide high-quality education to his students and stay up-to-date with the latest developments in language teaching, much like the FinTech partnership in the UAE, where innovation and collaboration are key.
